Gary Cravens,
West Plains
|
Received my college degree from Arkansas State University. Gary has worked for the Missouri Department of Conservation for the past 34 years and is presently the Ozark Region Protection Regional Supervisor. The Protection Division is the enforcement arm of the Conservation Department and he is one of the official representatives of the Department. The Department's mission is to protect and conserve Missouri fish, forest, and wildlife resources and to serve citizens through a coordinated program of law enforcement, education, and information. Gary serves on the Nathan Murphy scholarship board. He knew Nathan for several years as we were neighbors when he lived in Oregon County. Nathan was just a young kid when he first got to know him. Gary and Nathan became good friends throughout the years and they kept in close contact and Gary actually worked with him throughout his career as a law enforcement officer. |
Carol Dale, Houston
|
Was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma but moved to Texas where she finished High School in Richardson, Texas and graduated from college from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. She triple majored in English, Social and Rehabilitative Services and Political Science and was certified to teach Secondary Education. She now lives in Houston, MO where she is the administrator of Dale Family Medicine which is a Federally approved Rural Health Certified Family Practice Clinic. They have a caring, professional staff in which Carol is very proud of. It is through the clinic that she met Mary Sheid and became involved with the scholarship program. The program dovetailed perfectly with her belief in education as an important tool to achieve productivity and success in life.
In addition to the clinic, Carol raises and shows Gaited Mules and Miniature Donkeys in and out of the state of Missouri.
Her next project professionally will be to look for another physician to join Dale Family Medicine. Dr. Dale is looking toward a very gradual retirement and would like to find just the right person who would like to have a family practice career in an established non-hospital owned clinic. |
